This wine is made with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/cortese\"\u003eCortese\u003c\/a\u003e grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's part of I Vicini (\"the neighbours\"), the négoce project Jean-Yves started in 2017 to work with chemical-free growers on the Italian side of the Alps. The Cortese comes from Giorgio Barbero in Asti, Piedmont, and is brought back over the mountains to be made in Jean-Yves' cellar in Savoie.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCortese is best known as the grape behind Gavi, usually made as a crisp, clean white. Jean-Yves takes it somewhere else entirely: whole bunches usually macerated on the skins, then aged in large foudres. Native yeasts and no added sulphites. It sits at 12% alcohol.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis cuvée shows freshness, gentle spice and white pepper notes, with a subtle grip and soft acidity.
