Ex Vero I is taken from the lower slopes, Ex Vero II from the middle vineyards and Ex Vero III from the uppermost, featuring rougher and more rocky Opok soils.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEx Vero II S\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eharvested in 2022 presents a higher proportion of Sauvignon Blanc compared to Morillon. The \u003cstrong\u003eEx Vero II S\u003c\/strong\u003e grapes grow more than 300m above the sea level on Opok soil, a fine-grained, calcareous marl and silt typically found in the steep Styrian vineyards. The result of the selected grapes from the soil on the steeper and more barren middle slopes is a classy wine with an aromatic and mineral touch!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhilst we haven't tried the 2022 vintage of\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eEx Vero II S\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e yet, we hear it presents, after a slight inizial reduction at the nose, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eripe lime\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003estarfruit\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003enotes, lemongrass\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand gooseberry; you will find a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ebright acidity\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003esaltiness\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e on the palate, with a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003emineral finish\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. It's perfect to be paired with fish or paultry, and why not, some spicy asian food!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA difficult fermentation led to the producer's decision - after a long period of the wine aging on lees - of bottling with a few grams of residual sugar, that perfectly balances the acidity of the wine!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrigitte and Ewald Tscheppe from Werlitsch, together with Styrian wine producers Taus, Tscheppe, Muster and Strohmeier, belong to the \u003cstrong\u003e‘Schmecke das Leben’\u003c\/strong\u003e (‘Taste life’) group. \u003cbr\u003eTheir philosophy is about protecting the land, and making authentic and expressive natural wines that stay honest to their roots.
