Here are what wines to expect:

Patrick Bouju - Vivanterre Melon de Bourgogne 2020

"Vivanterre" Melon de Bourgogne 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Patrick Bouju, in the Auvergne region in France. This white wine is made with Melon de Bourgogne grapes, which we absolutely LOVE.

This wine features everything you want from the Muscadet, with the Loire regions of the same name and grape also known as Melon de Bourgogne as well as Folle Blance.

It's saline in its salty complexion, creamy on the finish and gives of notes of honey, apple, lemon and ironically to the name, soft melon touches too.

HIGHLY RECOMMMENDED, even more so it has now got some age on it!

The grapes come from the sub region of Vallet in the Muscadet appellation. The vineyard is planted on gabbro metamorphic rock, which is slow cooled magma that is rich in magnesium and iron. This 100% Melon de Bourgogne is sourced from the vineyards of Romain Petitou.

The grapes were picked the first week of September and undergo direct press before immediately being placed in glass globes that are buried underground. Both the natural fermentation and the elevage takes place in these tanks. The grapes are sourced from the domaine of Romain Petitiou and the elevage and bottling also took place at his domaine, under the careful eye and tutelage of Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau. The wine stayed on the lees until it was ready to be bottled in March 2021.

Roca Viva - Las Cañas 2021

Las Cañas 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Roca Viva, in the Andalusia region in Spain. This orange wine is made with Muscat of Alexandria grapes

This wine is an excellent showcase for the Muscat of Alexandria grape, also known in Italy as Zibibbo. It's of course got that aromatic quality you look for in the grape, but it goes deeper with a mineralic edge making it quite gastronomic, especially with its mild grippy structure, tingly energy and depth. It's nice to see an expression of this grape which is not overly floral and more terroir-driven.

Expect notes of salted apricots, herbs like thyme, clementine peel, white pepper, mild savoury elements such as cheese rind (in a very nice way), green tea, aniseed. Very good. Decant for best results and serve in a decent glass.

Christian Tschida - Birdscape Pink 2023

Birdscape Pink 2023 is a natural wine crafted by highly-sought after producer Christian Tschida, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This light red wine at 12% is made with mostly Blaufränkisch grapes, but this 2023 vintage sees an addition of Pinot Noir, and a beautiful new label design (do you see the birds?)

No added Sulphur in this  lovely Austrian wine, which feels vibrant and alive, ideally best served chilled. This wine is a rosé in some ways, and a light red in many others.

Expect a slight smokey and flinty touch in this wine, alongside tart red berries, plums and herbs. It’s somewhat savoury, and you question if is a rosé or a red… we think it’s a red only from slight tannic appeal but it really is questionable, and asking Christian Tschida about this - it seems exactly what he wants you to think…. We love it!

Grown on slate and limestone soils to the west of Lake Neusiedel in the legendary Leithaberg region (which is one of the oldest known winegrowing sites in the world, actually, with some evidence pointing to vines being grown here from the 8th century BC!) Birdscape Pink is called Pink.. but acts a little more like a red.

The grapes for Birdscape Pink are carefully destemmed and crushed by feet before fermenting spontaneously, of course, in large, neutral wooden barrels for around a year.

Hubinsky - Vlassy 2018-19

Rizling Vlassky 2018/2019 is a natural wine crafted by Hubinsky, in the Bratislava region in Slokavia. This white wine is made with Welschriesling grapes, which are called Rizling Vlassky in the country (also in the Czech Republic)

After a carafe to allow the pickled and Volatile Acidic elements to blow off, it has petroleum notes like an aged Riesling. Rounded, yet energetic and vibrant mouthfeel. Limes, meadow flowers, wet rocks, pickle juice, dried grass. Certainly with an acidic kick and if you like acid then this is great value for money.

Grown on brown clay soils of vineyards aged 40-50 years old. Vinification of Welschriesling vintage 2018 saw skin-contact for four days. Semi-carbonic maceration, with 30% of whole clusters poured over by fermenting must.
Fermentation in a stainless steel tank. Vintage 2019 saw skin-contact for three days and no added sulphur. Blended in September 2021.

Brash Higgins - MATO

Brash Higgins make their MATO wine in Australia with the graope Mataro, which is known here in Europe as Mouvedre or Monastrell

From Brash Higgins: This wine is a little wild, with lovely tannins, and gorgeous aromas tar, forest berries, black peppercorn and other dry spices. We held it back for a year to develop these characteristics and let the tannins loosen up just a hair. The purity and focus of this wine is something else we’re quite proud of.

Please note, our fancy new cart system will only recognise this as one product, but it will qualify for 5 bottles towards your shipping, at official checkout.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
