We love Alannah and Martin from Marto Wines and Vin de Lagamba. They are not just wonderful people, but also fantastic winemakers, and we are super proud to say that we don't just have one exclusive wine of theirs, but actually THREE.
Yes that's right, we have collaborated with them on three exclusives wines which you won't find anywhere else than in our shops and our temporary wine bar Blanc de Fuck.
MORE Marto Orange
This orange wine released only on MORE Natural Wine is made with Silvaner grapes, boosted with a splash of Scheurebe and then aged in an old barrel from Tom Lubbe of Matassa, gifted to Martin Wörner of Marto Wines.
We LOVE this orange! It's so refreshing to see Silvaner shine in this light with skin-contact maceration! Here, there is some tannic grip so it is not a total glou glou wine but a bit more serious, and best served NOT straight from the fridge (as this will tighten the tannins).
Flavourwise this exclusive banger features notes of tangerine and mandarin, the tangy aspects of them as well as a concentrated orange juice feel, a bit like Sunny D in memories. It is very smooth and juicy even with the grippy tannins keeping it serious.
Frauenpower Still
Still Frauenpower is a SERIOUSLY REFRESHING natural wine. We are so happy to be able to offer you this incredible white wine made made with 100% Chardonnay grapes.
The grapes of this Chardonnay were harvested early, and destined to be used for Sekt. When we tried the wine from the barrel we loved it so much, its salty touches, vibrant acidity and stoney minerality, lemon balm all mix together so well and balanced and there is a very mild passion fruit touch on the finish, which is but super smooth, somewhat creamy but also crisp at the same time. We are thrilled to say... it's even better trying now from the bottle!
This wine is simply PERFECT FOR AFTERNOON SIPS! We truly love it and so excited to share it with you - plus it's limited to just 650 bottles
Blanc de Fuck
This white wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes, so a Blanc de Noir. It’s a wild wine!
The grapes were late harvested with Noble Rot fungus setting in (Botrytis) making it more complex and it was aged in an old 600l Halbstuck barrel, as an experiment.
Tasting wise, this wine is as if Marto made a Brutal!
It’s totally different to the direction his refined white wines are going into at the moment and tastes pretty crazy, but also creamy and rounded too!
It’s got some reduction on it, so a carafe is recommended, and will blow off in a few minutes to then express the wines unique profile, which leads to a nutty, caramel, vanilla flavour reminding us of Werthers Original, alongside yellow apple fruits, lime and hint of banana ?!?
Awesome, unique flavour that we are proud to have as an exclusive bottle. Just 600 bottles made, and some keykegs for our bar 'Blanc de Fuck' with the same name (yes, this was the inspiration for the name!)
