Sipon Furmint 2019 by Ducal is a unique wine with Botrytis made in the Podravje region of Slovenia with Furmint grapes.

Sipon is Furmint & this one is a very unique form of the Furmint. The shade of the Slovene Alpine mountain makes for some rocky intensity to the common undertones of Sassafras or Wintergreen. Furmint is the wine you want to give someone who likes “odd” but not experimental.
An ultra tasty white with golden straw coloration that is intensified by the fact that Ducal shoots for harvesting 20% of each grape with botrytis (noble rot). This means higher sugar before fermentation & a real intensification of the character of the grape. Even stands up to Bergkäse!
