Emilia-Romagna | Natural Wine from Emilia-Romagna
In regards to Natural Wine, Emilia-Romagna, located in northern Italy, is a region very important for the Italian natural wine scene boasting reknown producers such as La Stoppa, Casè, Denavolo, Croci, Podere Magia and Mirco Marrioti.
While historically the region is most associated with sparkling red Lambruscos, many other wine styles are coming out of the region, made from grapes including Malvasia, Trebbiano, Barbera, and Sangiovese. Orange wines from Emilia-Romagna are particulary good, especially when made with Malvasia di Candia Aromartica.
Whilst Lambursco wines are often sneered at, the dry styles made naturally with low intervention in the cellar are certainly a must-try, and pair excellent with Pizza or Charcuterie.
