MicroBioWines | Ismal Gozalo
MicroBioWines is run by Ismael Gozalo, a Natural Wine producer located in the province of Valladolid, which is part of the Castilla y Leon region. The winery was founded in 2010 who comes from a family of winemakers with over 300 years of experience in the industry.
Ismael is known as 'The King of Verdejo' to many in the natural wine movement, and quite rightly so. His plots feature old vines which give complexity to his more premium bottlings, whilst wines like Correcaminos give a good introduction to MicroBio wines

High quality natural wines from Castilla y Leon
MicroBio has quickly gained a reputation for producing unique and high-quality natural wines. The vineyards of MicroBio are located at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, in the village of Nieva. The vines, including some pre-phylloxera Verdejo (!), are grown on sandy soils, which are rich in calcium carbonate and other minerals.
