Lapati Wines of Georgia
Georgian natural wine estate Lapati Wines was founded by the French emigrants Vincent Jullien and Guillaume Gouerou close to Tbilisi in the Eastern part, with the goal to produce natural wine and Pet Nat in an environmentally friendly way using the traditional Qvevri method. This is quite unusual.... as there are hardly and Pet Nats made in Georgia!
The Lapati wines are very fresh, very light and also generally in a style of their own in Georgia. Their still wines have a wonderful glou glou drinkability, their sparkling wines are truly interesting and whilst they of course use traditional Qvevri Amphora, the wines taste nothing like other Georgian wines.
