Les Insouciantes 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Jules & Didier Grappe, in the Jura region in France. This red wine is made with Poulsard, Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau and Pinot Noir grapes, so all the main Jura grapes together in one wine, as a red-white blend.
This wine is made with whole-cluster maceration for 2 weeks, pressing, then 9 months of aging in tank. No added sulphites, as with all their wines
Expect vibrancy & great energy in this no-added sulphite wine, which we find to usually be great as a bistro style smasher, with a mild hint of tannic structure, but honestly a glou glou winner here.
Full of bright forest fruit, vanilla, touches of spice. Scrumptious!!!
Didier Grappe video documentary
One of our earlier documentaries we made in Jura was with Didier Grappe, where he expressed his love for Hybrid grapes and way he works in Saint Lothain, close to Poligny.
