Vesely Red 2018 is a natural wine crafted by Richard Stavek, in the Moravia region in Czech Republic. This red wine is made with Blaufränkisch, Saint Laurent, Blauer Portugieser, Cabernet Moravia and André grapes.

The importer tells us that this Vesely Red is "A powerhouse that is reminiscent of wild berries, cloves and cinnamon, plus a quick acidity and a handy tannin. A wine that can definitely compete with a hearty dish and whose drinking window is just beginning to open can also be left lying around!"

Richard Stávek is one of the early pioneers of making natural wine in the Czech Republic, and started in the early 90's in the most common region for making wine, Moravia. He is not just a winemaker, but runs a farm with sheep of which he also makes cheese from amongst other things. He farms 4.5 Hectares of wines with vines on average around 50 years old, on sandy soils. His wines can be experimentals, and usually featuring little known Czech Varietals too…

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
