Pinot Noir 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Bencze, in the Balaton region in Hungary. This red wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes as the name suggests, which are grown on a plot from 1999, featuring the typical volcanic basalt-clay soils in the region.

Here, Istvan has 20% of the grapes pressed direct by feet in whole bunches, while the remaining are destemmed. Skin fermentation then takes place for 10 days in open oak vats before ageing in stainless steel, to keep a fresher mouthfeel.

Expect earthy notes coming through alongside hints of wild strawberries, rhubarb, red berries and the like. Very scrumptious and incredible value for the quality.
