Naturaleza Salvaje (red) 2023 by Azul Y Garanza is a natural wine made in Navarra, on the edge of a dessert, with 100% Grenache grapes known locally in Spain as Garnacha, and this one encompasses everything you want a Spanish Grenache to deliver.

Aged half in Amphora and half in barrel

The nose offers up hints of pencil lead, cassis, bramble fruit, mild smoke, slight cacao and soft spice. On the palate, its sensual with a smooth mouthfeel, nicely present tingly tannins and repeating the above notes on the nose with these dark forest fruit berries dominating with elegance alongside soft leather sensations.  This vintage. is lighter than before at 12.5% alcohol, but you still feel a nice rustic body on it and it is not as light as the weight suggests, still got some spanish soul
