Le Rouge Queue 2020 MAGNUM is a natural wine crafted by Tony Bornard, in the Jura region in France. This white wine is made with Melon a Queue Rouge grapes, which is a local mutation of Chardonnay. However, the name also refers to a songbird seen and heard around the area called  Le Rouge Queue.

Grown on green and pink iridescent Triassic marls, this north facing parcel is called "La Rouge" and features vines over 40 years old, which were planed with Massal selection. After direct pressing in a pneumatic press, fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks, then transferred to barrels for fermentation. Aging with topping up and without lees stirring. This wine, with excellent aging potential, is topped up and gives an impression of almost sweetness. In fact, a quarter of the vineyard area is planted with a Muscat variety of melon, which imparts this sensation of almost sweetness on the palate.

This process of change was an important period for Tony Bornard and he opens up about this and the emotional aspects related to it.
