Amico Frizz by Castello Di Stefanago is a natural wine made in Lombardia with Riesling grapes, which is not a common find in Lombardia.

Production details of Amico Frizz: Amico Frizz comes from Castello di Stefanago in the Oltrepò Pavese hills of Lombardia, run by brothers Antonio and Giacomo Baruffaldi. The Castello has stood since the 11th century and the family farms 20 hectares of vines across small scattered plots within a 135-hectare estate. The Riesling here is made by the ancestral method with refermentation in bottle, and bottled under crown cap with no added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Amico Frizz by Castello di Stefanago, but we hear it has notes of yellow plum, white peach, aromatic herbs and a dry, zesty finish.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

PET NAT WINE | WHAT IS A PET NAT?

Pét Nat, short for "Pétillant Naturel," is a type of sparkling wine that finishes fermenting right in the bottle, making the bubbles naturally there without needing any interference. Made using the Ancestral Method (also known as “Col Fondo”), these wines are typically lively, fresh, a little yeasty, and packed with just the right amount of fizz.
