Tasting Notes for Filari Corti (Moscato d’Asti) 2021 by Carussin

Delicious !!! A gently sparkling mousse and an intensely aromatic nose featuring apple, mint, chamomile, acacia blossom, and juicy white-fleshed fruit. The palate is pleasantly sweet yet well-balanced, with fresh acidity that keeps it lively, a soft creamy texture, and a long, aromatic finish echoing floral, grape, and herbal nuances.

Additional highlights include ripe peach and exotic fruit alongside very fine bubbles that add a light tingling sensation, enhancing the wine’s easy, refreshing drinkability. Overall, it is a low-alcohol, lightly sweet Moscato d’Asti that is fresh, juicy, and highly aromatic, perfect as a joyful aperitif or paired with dessert or a biscuit break… or birthday cake before lunch!

NATURAL WINES BY CARUSSIN

Carussin is the family of Luigi Garberoglio, Bruna Ferro and their sons Luca and Matteo in Asti, Piedmont. As well as wine they brew beer and raise donkeys, which you will spot on some of the labels. Barbera is the main grape, with some Moscato, and the range goes from easy Asinoi and Completo, including big boxes, to serious Barbera d'Asti like La Tranquilla.
