SHZ by Brash Higgins is a natural wine made in McLaren Vale, Australia with Syrah grapes, which is known as Shiraz in Australia, hence the name.

SHZ 2018 is a delicious Syrah drinking beautifully right now!

Brash Higgins state that "2018 in the Vale was a solid year, even after a very damaging hailstorm in November reduced the yield by 20%. The result of this hail haircut resulted in even more fruit intensity from the surviving grapes. Vinted from hand selected fruit, 20% whole bunch, and sent to open one ton fermenters for 3 weeks. Wild yeast did their job and then it all was gently basket pressed and sent to a mix of new and older French hogsheads for 20 months."

Expect notes of violets, mint, earthy soil, bramble fruit with a silky finish. Much lighter than expected for an Australian Syrah, but also not glouglou. Vibrant structure and finesse.
