Poil de Lievre 2023 Jeroboam is a Large-bottle format of the natural wine crafted by Domaine Bobinet, in Saumur, in the Loire region in France. This easy-going white wine is made with Chenin Blanc grapes, and will work best after a quick caraffe.

Made with a variety of vines aged between 15-35 years old on limestone and clay soils, Poil de Lievre is vinified in stainless steel and sees no addition of SO2.

Expect notes of limes and rocks here, with a swift crisp mouthfeel.

A true Summer smasher, Poil de Lieve will work great in the park but also for light seafood starters like Prawn Tartar...

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY DOMAINE BOBINET

Sébastien Bobinet and Émeline Calvez have been making wines in Saumur, Loire, since 2002. When Sébastien inherited the vineyards (he is the seventh generation in his family to make wine), they farmed only 1.8 hectares, but now have over 6.5 hectares and farm grapes like Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, Pineau d'Aunis and Gamay,. Eméline now handles the winemaking in their impressive cave cellar, while Sébastien takes care of the vineyards.
Their wines range from fun and easy-drinking, like PIAK and Le Temps Est Bon (perfect for summer), to more complex, age-worthy bottles like Les Gruches and IDA. Whether you’re after something light or a wine to age, they’ve got you covered!
