G&M 2023 by Patrick Bouju & Justine Loiseau of Domaine la Boheme is a light orange wine, vinified in Auvergne but with grapes sourced elsewhere.

This blend changes year to year, with this 2022 featuring 30% Muscat d’Alexandrie (Zibibbo) from the south of France, 20% Gewürztraminer, 30% Chardonnay-Muscaté from auvergne and the rest is a mix of Grenache blanc and Grenache Gris plus Ugni Blanc

How does Patrick Bouju's G&M taste?

This 2023 vintage is beautiful! Aromatic, interesting and  a little less tropical than the previous vintage. A little tannic structure makes it more serious and even better value for money. Bitter touches come through amongst notes of Mandarin, physalis, angostura bitters and much more. We personally think even better... just look at the photo for the colour!

SUCH A DELIGHT. Highly recommended!

NATURAL WINES BY PATRICK BOUJU

Patrick Bouju is a big name in the French natural wine world, and along with his partner Justine Loiseau, he tends to about 9 hectares of vines in Auvergne, France. Under the label "Domaine la Bohème," they also source grapes from other growers to create négoce wines, allowing them to expand their lineup beyond their own vineyards in wines like G&M, CC and Mol. This approach gives them room to experiment with lesser-known grape varieties like Mondeuse and Altesse. Bouju’s wines are highly sought after, especially in Germany, France, the U.K., and the U.S. Plus, their domaine wines like Lulu, The Blanc and Caillous age beautifully, making them quite collectible.
