Pet Natural is a natural wine crafted by Schödl, in the Weinviertel region in Austria. This refreshing, zippy and fresh sparkling wine is made with Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Weissburgunder grapes, which finish their fermentation in the bottle as is standard with Pet Nats.

Expect a fresh and fun Pet Nat, slightly yeasty and a with a crisp citrussy finish

Production details of Pet Natural: Pet Natural is made by siblings Viktoria, Mathias and Leonhard Schödl at their family winery in Loidesthal, Weinviertel, Austria. The blend uses Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Weissburgunder. The grapes finish fermentation in bottle in the ancestral method. Lunar-calendar farming without synthetic chemistry.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Pet Natural by Schödl, but we hear it has notes of green apple, ripe pear, light citrus and fine bubbles.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

PET NAT WINE | WHAT IS A PET NAT?

Pét Nat, short for "Pétillant Naturel," is a type of sparkling wine that finishes fermenting right in the bottle, making the bubbles naturally there without needing any interference. Made using the Ancestral Method (also known as “Col Fondo”), these wines are typically lively, fresh, a little yeasty, and packed with just the right amount of fizz.
