Beaujolais Villages 2022 by Alex Foillard is a red wine made in Beaujolais with 100% Gamay grapes.

Alex Foillard is the son of Beaujolais legend Jean Foillard, part of the iconic ' Gang of Four'. Farming 2 hectares which he acquired at the young age of 24 in both Brouilly and

Côtes du Brouilly, his wines have a tiny dose of sulphur at bottling and show the elegance of the wines of his father.

The vines of his Beaujolais Village are taken from 70 year old Gamay vines.

NATURAL WINE FROM BEAUJOLAIS

Located in southwest France, Beaujolais is known for its focus on one grape variety—Gamay—making up 98% of the region's vineyards. The other 2% is mostly Chardonnay.
Some of the standout natural wine producers from Beaujolais include Jean Foillard, Clos Bateau, Domaine Lapierre, Guy Breton, Sebastien Morin, Thillardon and Metras.
