Bizzarro Aperitivo (AUS)

Making a buzz over in Australia, this NATURAL Vermouth is here to replace your Aperol this summer!

We tried the official recipe below, but we personally preferred it with good tonic water and a squeeze of grapefruit alongside a few ice-cubes. We felt using a pet-nat or prosecco took out the subtle flavour of the vermouth.

We also added a twig of Rosemary and loved it!

Mildly bitter, subtly sweet, wildly refreshing. Bizzarro is a small batch, hand made and all natural aperitivo that evokes la dolce vita with an Aussie twang.

Bizzarro is a classic bitter aperitivo made by infusing citrus fruits and botanicals in sustainably grown, skin fermented white wine, fortified with neutral grape spirit. Its subtle balance of bitter, sweet and aromatic makes it perfect in a spritz with sparkling wine, on the rocks, or served with a dash of soda.

We like ours with tonic rather than prosecco, joined with a sprig of rosemary, but the official recipe is this:

Bizzarro Spritz

• 60ml Bizzarro Bitter Aperitivo
• 90ml Petillant Naturel (or Prosecco)
• splash of soda
• heaps of ice, a wedge of fresh orange, and a sprig of thyme
