Ad Infernum et Salutem 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Domaine de la Borde, in the Jura region in France. This red wine is made with Trousseau and Pinot Noir grapes, which features a little reduction and thus benefits from a hard carafe (pour quickly in, give it a shake for 30 seconds and let rest for 20 minutes, shake again and serve).

We filmed the wonderful Julien Maréschal in Pupilin, Jura. Here he discusses the importance of Vin Jaune to him personally, as well as the various soil types he works with and how he came to make wine in Pupillin, which was always a place dear to his heart. Turned out he is quite the musician as well as a master winemaker too!

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY DOMAINE DE LA BORDE

Domaine de la Borde is a standout winemaker of Jura wines, located in the village of Pupillin, where Julien Maréschal crafts wines that truly reflect the region’s unique terroir. Known for his meticulous approach, Julien has carved out a reputation for producing wines that highlight the raw, mineral qualities of the land, aligning with the traditions of other top Jura producers.
A skilled jazz musician as well (you can catch him in our documentary!), Julien’s commitment to his craft shines through in every bottle. His wines are often full of mineral energy, with some vineyards featuring 'Schist Carton,' a distinct type of flaky rock found among his blue marl soils. Watch out video documentary here
