Saperavi 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Gelovani Cellar, in the Kakheti region in Georgia. This red wine is made with Saperavi grapes,

This Saperavi was fermented in qvevri with full skins for six days, creating a wine that balances structure, fruit and depth while maintaining a vibrant, approachable style.

Rich and expressive, with aromas of dark berries, elderberry and ripe cherry, complemented by hints of plum, spice and subtle earthy notes. On the palate the wine is smooth and full-bodied, with ripe fruit flavors supported by balanced acidity. The finish is long and velvety, leaving a gently dry impression with lingering dark fruit.

Pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, hearty pasta dishes and aged cheeses.

NATURAL WINES BY GELOVANI CELLAR

Akaki Gelovani started making wine in 2006 in his father's garage, with family and friends pressing grapes together every year. Singing traditional Georgian polyphony brought him together with the monk and winemaker Father Gabriel, who became his mentor. He now has nearly 5 hectares in Ozhio, Kakheti, growing Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli, Kisi and Saperavi.
