Jean-Pierre Robinot farms a handful of old vineyards in the Loire Valley, on a mosaic of clay, limestone, flint and tuffeau. This quiet corner of the Loire is cooler and wilder than its more famous neighbours, producing wines of tension, energy and unmistakable mineral character.

Beneath the vines lies a network of ancient limestone caves where Robinot ages his wines slowly and patiently. Fermentations can stretch on for months, sometimes years, guided only by the rhythm of the cellar.

Bistrologie 2023 is a 11% white natural wine made with Chenin Blanc grapes.

This is vibrant, full of acidity and minerality. Lemon, green apple really dominate the palate but it also has subtle hints of apricots and blossoms. It is a must taste wine!

ONE PER ORDER, lets share the love for rare wine.

NATURAL WINES BY JEAN-PIERRE ROBINOT | LES VIGNES DE L'ANGEVIN

Jean-Pierre Robinot is a legend in the natural wine world, hailing from the Loire Valley in France. Under the domain name LES VIGNES DE L'ANGEVIN, Robinot makes exceptional wines like Bistrologie, Le Regard, L'iris, Lumière de Silex, L'As des Années Folles, Charme, and more.
His journey into the world of natural wine started long before he made his own wine. He played a major role in the Paris wine scene, opening one of the first natural wine bars and even publishing a wine journal.
What sets Jean-Pierre apart, besides his amazing expressions of Pineau D’Aunis and Chenin Blanc, is his commitment to traditional methods—aging his wines in his limestone cellar and never using any sulphur. His daughter Juliette might one day take over the vineyards, continuing his exceptional work.
