A Souvi t'as Soif 2023 is a natural wine crafted by La Grange Saint André, in the Languedoc region in France. This Off-Dry / Semi-Sweet Rosé is made with 100% Grenache grapes.

This is a DELICIOUS off dry / Semi-Sweet Rosé that is so pink it looks orange in the glass!

Semi-Sweet without ever being cloying, fresh enough to keep up with itself, and the closest thing we can compare it to is a glass of Tango!

Properly fun drinking, served very cold and ideally outside. If wanting to pair this with food, a good option could be salty fried snacks, a bowl of olives or anything with some spice to it!

As for how it is this, is "Saignée" bleed of whole-bunch Grenache, grown on half a hectare of clay and limestone at 100 metres facing west, fermented in tank and raised for six months, with no sulphur added at any stage. Pichon calls it émoustillant rather than sparkling, which is about right: a tiny bead rather than a proper fizz, 2g of sugar left in and a bitter twist on the end.

There is a little deposit in the bottle, so leave the last centimetre behind.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY LA GRANGE SAINT ANDRÉ

La Grange Saint André is Olivier Pichon's small domaine in Souvignargues, near Sommières in the Gard. A former social worker from Lyon, Olivier had no formal wine training and learned from his friend, the vigneron Thierry Forestier, who sold him his first hectare in 2015. His first vintage was 2016. He now farms around four hectares of sandstone, limestone and sandy clay hillsides at about 100 metres, with vines from 10 to 50 years old.

Everything is hand-picked. Reds go into tank as whole bunches for three or four days, with no pumping over, then rest in steel. Most wines get no added sulphur, the whites a small dose. Le Marmot, mostly Cinsault, is the everyday red and one of the best value bottles we stock. Grenache des Grès comes from 50-year-old vines, La Colonel and Blanc Seing are the whites, and A Souvi t'as Soif is a barely fizzy, off-dry rosé.
