Synin 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Alice Bouvot of Domaine de L'Octavin, in the Jura region in France. This Red-White blended wine (in the form of a faux-Rosè) is made with Chenin Blanc and Syrah grapes, which really is quite an unusual and fun mix! It's clled Synin as a reference the Syrah and Chenin, hence Synin.

Tasting this gives off an explosion of unexpected flavours. We found notes of peach sorbet and sheeps wool (!) on the nose leading to mango, lychee, rose water and apricot bubblegum - all underlined with a vibrant high acidity typical of l'Octavin!

This one is for lovers of the wild and unusual!

NATURAL WINES BY L'OCTAVIN

Alice Bouvot of Domaine de l'Octavin is a well-known figure in the natural wine world, but she actually started out in the traditional wine scene. After studying viticulture in Bordeaux, she made the move back to her home in Jura at 30, curious about the region’s unique terroir and grape varieties. Now, she works about 5 hectares of land and also makes some négociant wines. Her wines are full of life and offer a different take on Jura, which is why they’re so popular worldwide. A few of her standout wines include the Hip Hip Jura range, Elle Aime, Petit Poussot, and Corvées de Trou Trou, which is a vibrant Trousseau.
