Baco Perez 2017 by Naranjuez is red wine made in Granada with a Field Blend of grapes, which age for 13 months in stainless steel tanks.

Production details of Baco Perez: Baco Perez is made by Antonio Vilchez at Bodega Naranjuez, a garage winemaker in the tiny mountain village of Marchal, Granada, at almost 3000 feet. The wine is named after Antonio's motorcycle mechanic who would drink it by the gallon. It is a field blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Vijiriega, Dorodilla and Perruna macerated on the skins and aged 13 months in stainless steel before bottling. 12.5% alcohol. Antonio produces around 8,000 bottles a year.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Baco Perez by Naranjuez, but we hear it has notes of briny stone fruit, dried citrus peel, cidery funk and a wild herbal lift.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
