Radikon is a legendary name in the natural wine world, especially known for their amazing orange wines. Based in the Friuli region of northeastern Italy, right on the Slovenian border, the estate was inspired by nearby Gravner, another highly respected producer. Many wine critics consider Radikon’s wines to be some of the finest orange wines in the world.
After the passing of the founder and pioneer Stanko Radikon, his son Saša took over the estate. Radikon’s wines are named after the grape variety or style, with popular bottles including Jakot (from Tokaj), Sivi (Pinot Grigio), Slatnik, Oslavje, and Ribolla Gialla. Since 2003, they’ve been working without any added sulfur, relying on long maceration periods to achieve this. They also bottle in 50cl and 100cl bottles instead of the usual 75cl.
