Heritage 2022

Heritage 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Lammidia, in the Abruzzo region in Italy. This red wine is made with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes, and is rich and tannic, so needs a caraffe or some time to rest and let the structure find balance a little bit in our opinion, but some people love very big tannins, so if you do too, this is a wine for you to open now

Production details of Heritage: Heritage is a 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from childhood friends Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani at Lammidia in Abruzzo, Italy. The 1-hectare vineyard sits on clay and limestone soils with vines around 25 years old. They farm using a lunar-calendar approach with no tilling. Manual harvest, wild ferment, no added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Heritage by Lammidia, but we hear it has notes of dark plum, ripe blackberry, dried herbs and a deep tannic Abruzzo structure.
