Loureiro
Loureiro is a white wine grape that is primarily grown in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. This region, located in the northwest part of the country, is known for its cool and wet climate, which is ideal for the cultivation of this grape variety. Loureiro is also grown in other regions of Portugal, such as Minho and Douro.
One of the most important characteristics of Loureiro is its aromatic profile. The grape produces wines with intense floral and citrus aromas, often described as having notes of orange blossom, lime, and lemon zest.
Loureiro is often used as a blending grape in the production of Vinho Verde wines, however, there are also single-varietal Loureiro wines available.
