Tasting Notes for Esotico 2024 by Sassara
Yes! That’s a lot of different grapes listed! Not sure we would be able to pick out each one in this super fun and easy going juice bomb from Veneto based Sassara here with Esotico, but we don’t mind because this really is very fun and appealing, visually too with it’s cloudy deep orange-copper colour.
Expect an aromatic nose of orange peel, dried strawberry, blossoms and vibrant herbs. The palate is lively and fresh with flavors of juicy tangerine, apricot and almost synthetic peach candies, finishing dry and mildly saline with gentle tannins.
It is for sure a light, easy-going natural wine making it a playful and highly drinkable companion when the sun starts to come out…
Production Process of Esotico 2024 Natural Wine by Sassara
This joyful wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and maturation primarily in inert stainless-steel tanks, with skin maceration reported in fiberglass tanks. The blend for the 2024 vintage consists of approximately 30% red grapes (Corvina, Rossanella, Rondinella, Molinara) and 70% white grapes (Garganega, Trebbianello, Tocai, Moscato, Fernanda), with a skin contact time of 10 days. Its odd because it kinda looks orange.. but is actually a red white blend
