Les Vignes des Enfants is a natural wine crafted by Anders Frederik Steen, in the Ardeche region in France. This red wine from 2019 is made with Petite Sirah grapes, which are half grown by Anders and half sourced from his neighbours Domaine du Mazel.

ONE PER ORDER, due to low supply and high demand

Anders states that "Les Vignes Des Enfants" has all the grapes destemmed and have macerated for 10 days in a fibre cuve. After décuvage we pressed the grapes for 3 days, then filled the fermenting juice into barriques we had bought the same year. Here the wine fermented during winter and stayed another for 4 years until bottling. No soutirage, topping up one time after two years in barriques.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY ANDERS FREDERIK STEEN

Anders Frederik Steen is a true legend in the natural wine scene, and his winemaking philosophy is simple: “Nothing added. Nothing taken away.” He crafts his wines in the Ardèche region of France with his partner Anne Bruun Blauert, and what's unique is that none of his wines are ever made the same way twice—hence, the many different labels, each inspired by song lyrics or poetry.
Steen uses an old press with a slow, gentle technique and brings a creative, experimental approach to his wines. Expect juicy flavors, oxidative notes, complex layers, and some pretty unique grape blends depending on the bottle. Since the wines change with every vintage, you’re guaranteed never to taste the same wine twice. With high demand and a loyal following, his wines are becoming highly collectible, selling out fast, so grab them while you can!
