The region experiences a warm Mediterranean climate, with plenty of sunshine and a gentle breeze from the Rhône River. This, coupled with the region's well-drained soils, creates the perfect environment for growing grapes with vibrant flavors and natural acidity.
The Ardeche is known for its plantings of Grenache, Syrah and Viognier but don’t be surprised if see Chardonnay, Merlot, Gamay and more make an appearance.
