Rkatsiteli 2021 from Chona´s Marani is a natural wine made in Kakheti with Rkatsiteli grapes.
6 months on skin for this wine. With all Georgian wines, do not serve chilled, and allow to breathe for best results. These wines are stable and should hold a good few days once open, improving greatly with time.
Tasting notes: Beautiful, yet intense amber with a good balance between tannin and drinkability. More suitable for food and certainly not glouglou. Notes of dried apricots, thyme and hints of sour apple.
Now in the third generation, Chona's Marani grow wine in a Kachetian way, because they feel committed to the traditional Qvevri method.
But only under Mikheil has Chona's Marani established itself as a well-known brand nationwide.
The vineyards with the total area of two hectares are located a few kilometers out of town in the village of Kurdgelauri, 550 above sea level. The soil consists of mineral clay and is extremely valuable as the vineyards are located in the protected region of Tsinandali.
Currently, three different grape varieties are cultivated: Kachuri Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi.
