Based in the village of Berrie near Saumur, François brings a relaxed, down-to-earth vibe to his winemaking, and he’s part of a movement helping to breathe life back into this once-declining village. With just 4.5 hectares under his care, François’ wines are highly sought after and can be hard to find, so if you see them, don't wait!
François works the vineyards all by himself, aided by two trusty horses. He crafts his wines in a limestone cellar, a traditional choice for the region, where the stable environment helps the wines develop with time. His wines often undergo a long elevage, maturing for up to three years in barrel to develop deeper complexity.
