Pálava
Pálava is a white wine grape that is primarily grown in the Czech Republic. This grape is a cross between Müller-Thurgau and Gewürztraminer, resulting in a unique and flavorful wine. Pálava is mainly cultivated in the Moravia region, particularly in the Mikulov area.
The Pálava grape is known for its aromatic qualities, with notes of tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, as well as floral undertones. It produces wines that are full-bodied and rich in flavor, with a balanced acidity that adds freshness to the palate. In the world of natural wine, Pálava works excellent with skin-contact maceration, just like Gewürztraimer, of which it is certainly similar.
Petr Marada is a natural wine producer making great use of the Pálava grape.
