Maître Splinter (Orange) 2023 is a natural wine crafted by La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This orange wine is made with Picpoul grapes.
Terroir: Clay-limestone soil in Marseillan (Thau Basin), Vin de France.
Grape Variety: 100% Picpoul (8 years old), yield: 30 hl/ha
Vinification: Selection of the finest grapes from the plot, destemmed maceration for 23 days, very gentle vertical pressing, aged in vertical sandstone jars on the lees for 6 months. No added sulphur or anything else
Winemaker Tasting Notes: The nose is strongly marked by citrus fruits, pineapple, white fruits, the iodine typical of this maritime terroir, and thyme. The palate is long, lemony, saline, with remarkable precision and intense minerality, finishing on notes of pear.
Production: 1,400 bottles produced.
