Magliocco
Magliocco is a red wine grape that is primarily grown in the Calabria region of southern Italy.
Magliocco grapes are known for their deep, intense flavors and aromas. They often exhibit notes of dark berries, black cherries, and spices, which give the wines made from this grape a complex and robust character. The wines are typically full-bodied with a good balance of acidity and tannins, making them suitable for aging.
In addition to Calabria, Magliocco is also grown in other regions of Italy, such as Sicily and Puglia, where it is used in both single-varietal wines and blends. However, it is in Calabria where the grape is most known.
